Welcome to Dartmouth's largest music lesson centre located at 124 Main street, Dartmouth. We offer 15 spacious studios in house and our very own recital room. Our studios are equipped with state of the art keyboards and acoustic upright pianos as well as a Yamaha Concert Grand. We offer lessons in violin, viola, cello, all woodwind and brass, all styles piano, guitar (electric and acoustic), banjo, ukulele, bodhran, percussion and drumset.

Cora Cameron is an emerging artist/composer and honours graduate of Memorial University’s musicology program. Originally from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Cora is a multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter with a passion for creative exploration of musical styles and improvisational sound. Cora’s experiences have been eclectic, ranging from a variety of performances with orchestral ensembles as a principal cellist (MUN Chamber Orchestra, HRASO, Maritime Conservatory Orchestra, Maritime Conservatory Baroque Ensemble) to choral singing (MUN Festival Choir), musical theatre productions (TaDa, Neptune YPCO, St. Luke’s Community Players), and sharing original works and jazz arrangements as the vocalist of Orchid Duo. With 10+ years of performance experience, Cora is eager to begin her journey in education and go beyond the books with philosophies she has developed in her own studies. She is offering beginner lessons and is eager to meet you! Cora is $28 per half hour lesson.

Dunnery Bond is a singer-songwriter who graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance in 2015. He has appeared in six mainstage Neptune Theatre productions, won the nationally aired singing competition "The Next Star" in 2008, and has studied both classical and jazz piano for over sixteen years - including completing his Grade 9 RCM. He has performed with David Foster, Suzie McNeil, Bruce Guthro, Paula Cole, and many other artists. His rate for a half hour private lesson is $27.

Jillian has been playing piano for 18 years and has ample teaching experience as a tutor and as a substitute teacher. She enjoys bringing out the best in all of her students and puts lots of time and energy into helping them build confidence and succeed as musicians and artistic thinkers. She plays at a grade 10 proficiency and has her Level 9 RCM, along with harmony and history at that level.
Her rate is $26 per half hour.

John has a Bachelors in Music in Voice from Mount Allison University and grade 8 Royal Conservatory of Music piano. John originally entered university on trombone but switched to voice after two years. He has sung both solo and chorally with the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, the Elora Festival Singers, Nathaniel Dett Chorale, Mississauga Choral Society, and the Toronto Jewish Folk Choir among others, and he took on the lead role of Pierre Elliott Trudeau in Vocalypse Productions’ presentation of G. E. Clarke and D.D. Jackson’s opera Trudeau: Long March/Shining Path. John has produced a CD of his own pop/adult compositions called ‘A Labour of Love’. He has been teaching music since 1994 and his rate for a half-hour private lesson is $28.

Karen studied, piano, organ and voice at Acadia University. For the last ten years she has been directing the choir and playing piano and organ for the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour. She’s been teaching piano for 25 years and has been coordinating our keyboard Kids program for five years. She teaches classical technique but her students learn all styles. Karens’s rate for a half-hour private lesson is $28.

Katie has studied a variety of genres in both piano and voice, as well as music theory, composition, and performance. After working her way through the Royal Conservatory of Music, she attended Mount Allison University as a Piano Major in the Bachelor of Music Program. She later transferred to Nova Scotia Community College and completed the Music Arts Program as a Vocal Major, specializing in jazz, blues, folk and pop music. She has had the opportunity to perform on various stages, including The Marquee Ballroom, The Fredericton Play House, Saint John City Boardwalk, and CBC Radio. Her lessons are a happy blend of fundamental theory and feel-good music, which promise to be creative, entertaining and educational at all times! Her rate for a half-hour private lesson is $26.

Kayleigh is an experienced piano teacher and musician. Having reached level nine in her classical studies, and graduated from Nova Scotia Community College’s Music Arts program, she continues to study and practice a variety of musical styles. She is particularly interested in working with students to create a personalized lesson plan that helps them achieve their own musical goals.Kayleigh's half hour rate is $27.

An award winning trumpet and piano player, Matt has the knowledge and experience to help any aspiring musician reach their goals.
Matt teaches all levels of brass and piano, particularly those looking to learn how to play pop, jazz, or improvised music by ear.
Matt has performed and recorded with the talents of Ben Caplan, Terra Spencer, Lennie Gallant, and John Gracie among many others. Matt is $27 per half hour lesson.

After falling in love with the fiddle at age six, Shannon has been working as a professional
musician for over twenty years. She earned her Bachelor of Music from Humber College as
well as completing her RCM Grade 9 exam in classical violin and Grade 8 RCM Piano exam.
She toured for several years as a fiddler with multiple groups and artists including Joel
Plaskett, The Paul McKenna Band, Lennie Gallant, Jimmy Rankin among others. Shannon has
also recorded several studio albums which have garnered national award recognition including
multiple wins from Music Nova Scotia, and multiple nominations from the ECMA’s and
Canadian Folk Music Awards.
Shannon has been a music educator for the past 15 years in Nova Scotia and Toronto. In 2018
she took a group of young fiddlers to participate in the renowned Willie Clancy Summer
School, in County Clare, Ireland, and in 2019 she was the recipient of Music Nova’s ‘Educator
of the Year’ award.
Shannon has a strong passion for youth music education, and believes the top focus points
should be fun and comfort, playable tunes, and becoming familiar with patterns and sight
reading. There should be a strong emphasis on learning rhythm, and finding your own voice
with your instrument.
Shannon is $29 per half hour lesson. Shannon is also starting fiddle groups! Call for more info.

Steffan has a Bachelor of Music from UBC in piano performance, an ARCT from the Royal Conservatory, and is a graduate of Trinity College of Music in London, England. He has performed and accompanied other musicians across Canada. Stefan has been teaching music since 1979 and gives workshops on piano pedagogy. His rate for a half-hour private lesson is $28.

Tia is a vocalist, audio engineer, and producer who graduated with a Bachelors of Music in Music Technology from George Mason University. She has recorded for many video game projects, including Arknights, Ambition: A Minuet in Power, and Sony’s EVO 2023. Her voice also appears in the webseries Deathbattle, the documentary Earthbound USA, and Devin Townsend’s album Lightwork. She has multiple years of teaching experience in voice, piano, and performance skills. Tia's rate is $27 per half hour lesson

Trevor is a multi-instrumentalist and composer, he holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from St. FX University with a Major in Jazz Studies. Playing and studying music from the age of five, Trevor is no stranger to the local music and education scene and is a first call sideman performing and recording on saxophone, flute, piano and organ. He is a member of the Back Alley Big Band, The Chronos Band and Scott and The Rocks. Trevor has opened for such musical greats as Charles Bradley, John Scofield and Sharon Jones and the dap-kings at the TD Halifax Jazz Festival. Trevor enjoys teaching saxophone, flute, clarinet, piano, music Theory and improvisation. Trevor's rate for a 30-minute private music lesson is $26.

Yulia graduated with Honours from the Zaporozshky State Music College in the Ukraine and worked as a piano teacher and children’s choir director while taking courses at the Harkov Institute for Music and Arts there. In 2000 she taught piano for the New Conservatory of Music in Toronto, and in 2002 and 2003 was named teacher of the year. Yuliya specializes in preparing students for all levels of RCM exams, Kiwanis festivals, and other competitions. She has been teaching for Long & McQuade since 2004. Yuliya also teaches Music Theory. Her rate is $28. for a half-hour private lesson
